Impact of collaborative health education and leadership programme on pharmacy education in Zimbabwe

To ameliorate the impact of brain drain on quality education at University Zimbabwe, Health Education Advanced Leadership in Zimbabwe (HEALZ) programme was implemented 2012. The authors present a retrospective narrative review pharmacy educators’ activities under programme, and education. Five educators were enrolled into one-year between 2016 2020. consisted three intensive one-week face-to-face sessions focused health professions In sessions, conducted needs’ assessments to establish gaps training developed curricula areas herbal medicine, snakebites, drug-herb interactions, oncology, economics. Thereafter, they delivered seven conference abstracts nine continuing professional development sessions. are now working transferring HEALZ two new institutions, strengthen workforce across country.
